People already living in a French-speaking country — or genuinely about to move to one — who can read and understand more French than they can actually speak. If you've done years of classes or apps and still freeze in real conversations, that's exactly who we work with. If you're not immersed in French daily life, we're not the right fit, and we'll tell you that upfront rather than take your money.
How is this different from Duolingo, apps, or a normal French class?
Apps and classes teach you the language in a vacuum. We work on you, in your actual life — the specific conversations you're avoiding, the specific situations tripping you up. Most of the work happens out in the real world between sessions, not drilling flashcards at a desk. It's slower to feel like "progress" in the traditional sense, and faster to feel like actual fluency.
Do I need to already speak some French?
Yes — this isn't a beginner program. You should already be able to read and follow along in French, even if speaking it out loud is where things fall apart. If you're starting from zero, you'll get more out of building a base first.
What actually happens on the strategy call?
45 minutes, one on one. We go through exactly where you're stuck, why the methods you've already tried haven't worked, and what a real path forward looks like for your specific situation. You leave with an actual plan, whether or not you decide to work together afterward.
Is the call in French or English?
English, so we can be precise about your specific situation without you fighting the language barrier just to explain your problem. Coaching itself is a mix, tailored to where you're actually at.
Do you teach grammar rules?
Not the way a classroom does. Grammar comes up when it's actually relevant to something you're trying to say or understand — not as a standalone lesson to memorize. Most of our clients already know more grammar than they think; the gap is using it in real time.
I'm not in France yet, but I'm moving soon. Can I still book?
Yes — if you're genuinely about to relocate to a French-speaking country, that counts. Select "yes" on the immersion question when you fill out the form.
What happens after the strategy call, if I want to keep working together?
We'll talk through what ongoing coaching looks like and whether it makes sense for you, based on what came up in the call. There's no pressure and no obligation attached to booking the strategy call itself.
